Austyn Update

6/30/09: Austyn has had a few "firsts" this last week. She had her first beach day! We went to Ventura State Beach and she even got her toes in the sand! It was a little chilly so she didn't get to wear her bathing suit.
Also, she got her first kiss on the lips from a dog - thanks Connelly! We didn't catch a picture of it but I'm sure there will be many more to come!
She had her first babysitter while we went to a wedding. Aunt Jan watched her and we were told Austyn did really well until it was bedtime. Aunt Jan had to resort to doing squats - which is one of the tricks we use to get Austyn calmed down if she is really tired but won't fall asleep. Thanks Aunt Jan!

Austyn has been putting everything she can get her hands on into her mouth and just yesterday her toe went in! She's been attempting that for about a week and finally succeeded.

Our First Father's Day

6/23/09: Nathan celebrated his first Father's Day last Sunday! Austyn and I took him to Mission Bay park and had a picnic. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Austyn is growing so fast. She loves to stand up (with us holding her), she laughs all the time, smiles and squeals a lot, kicks her legs like crazy, puts everything in her mouth, grabs onto hair, and keeps us smiling all day long!

We are having so much fun being parents!
This little girl has made our world so much better...

7 Week Photo Shoot

Here are some photos from Austyn's 7 week photo shoot (taken May 5th). She did such a good job. She's 14 weeks now! Wow time flies.

Mirror Mirror on the Wall ...

6/15/09: Here is a video of Austyn smiling and talking to herself in the mirror on her play mat (taken June 2nd)! We've been having so much fun with her. She now laughs a lot. We'll post more videos soon.

3 Months Old!

6/5/09: Austyn is now three months old! We are all doing good. I am still off work for another month or so and love being with Austyn all day long. She is growing fast and now weighs 12 pounds- wow! She smiles all the time and starting talking ("cooing") back and forth with us a few weeks ago. It is the greatest thing to see her smile because her whole face lights up and she gives us a big open-mouthed grin. We are all having a blast!
