I'm Growing!

4/30/09: Austyn is now 7 weeks old and she's growing bigger too! She has outgrown her newborn clothes and is just wearing 0-3 months now. The best news of all is that she smiles at us! Mostly in the mornings we'll get a big open mouthed grin. We haven't been able to capture it on video yet because every time we try she won't smile. She still keeps us entertained with her cute little facial expressions.

Noni sent us a webcam so the family can see Austyn grow up. We've only had it for 2 days and are having lots of fun with it! Thanks Noni!

4/21/09: Austyn has been keeping us busy and entertained. We've seen her giggle and smile, but only when she's drifting off to sleep or when she has gas! She has already grown out of some of her her tiny newborn outfits as they've gotten too short. She really watches us when we talk to her and she now grabs at our clothing. Life has been good!

Austyn Has Arrived!

4/2/09: Well it's been awhile since I've posted anything as we've been a little busy with our new bundle of joy.

Austyn Taylor Nichols was born on March 12th at 4:45 PM. She weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce and was 18.75 inches long. Here she is just minutes after being born.

Life has definitely been exciting and we couldn't be happier about being parents. We spend a lot of time just staring at her and watching her expressions.

Here we are on our first walk (in the sling), then a few days later with the stroller.

Austyn had her first real bath last week and she didn't seem too excited about it until it was all over and she was warm and dry.

We had a nurse come to our home this week to do a check up of Austyn and answer any questions we had. This was a complimentary service to all first time parents. Austyn now weighs 8.7 ounces so we know she's eating well!
